Prof.Dr. Kahraman Öztürk

Orthopedics and Traumatology | Hand Surgery Specialist

Dr. Kahraman Öztürk was born in 1965 in Sivas and graduated from Sivas High School in 1982. He graduated from Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine in 1988 and received his Medical Doctor degree. He worked at Erzurum Dr. Filiz Dolunay Health Center and at Çolaklı Health Center, located in a coastal town in Manavgat.

After succeeding in the TUS exam, he completed his specialization training in the Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic of Bezm-i Alem Valide Sultan Vakıf Gureba Training and Research Hospital and became a specialist in Orthopedics and Traumatology.

He received his Hand Surgery training by working at the Istanbul Hand Surgery and Microsurgery Center and the Hand Surgery Department of Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine.

In 2011, he obtained his second specialization diploma in Hand Surgery.

On 26.01.2012, Dr. Öztürk established the Hand Surgery Clinic at the Health Sciences University Baltalimanı Bone Diseases Training and Research Hospital and served as its head until his departure on 12.08.2022.

In 2013, Dr. Kahraman Öztürk obtained the European Hand Surgery Diploma by passing the European Board of Hand Surgery (EBHS) examinations of the Federation of European Societies for Surgery of the Hand (FESSH) and fulfilling the qualification requirements.

Dr. Öztürk served as the founding head of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology within the Surgical Medical Sciences at the Health Sciences University Hamidiye Faculty of Medicine.

Dr. Kahraman Öztürk served as a faculty member in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Bezm-i Alem Vakıf Gureba Training and Research Hospital and Health Sciences University Hamidiye Faculty of Medicine. In addition, alongside Orthopedics and Traumatology, he trained numerous specialists and scientists in the subspecialty of Hand Surgery.

Through the courses he organized, he made significant contributions to the development and establishment of Wrist Arthroscopy in Turkey.
